Registration
From 9am for both 100 miles and 50km at the Clubhouse, Millennium Arena, Battersea Park.

Start
Both races (100 miles & 50km) will start together at 12 noon.

Time limits
100 miles - 24 hours

Sunday 29th July 2007
Arrival of the 100 mile finishers from 6am until 12 noon

T shirt to ass entrants and commemorative medals to all finishers.

The Surrey Walking Club 100 mile race is the British Centurions 2007 qualifying race for election to the Brotherhood of Centurions.

Entries

Walkers who wish to enter the Surrey 100 mile race/ RWA Long Distance Championship will automatically be entered for the the 50kms Championship. There is now one single entry fee of £25.00.
(please note - if you have entered the 50km  separately and paid £7.00 to the RWA -you will be reimbursed)

Walkers who wish to compete only in the RWA 50km Championship - the entry fee is £7.00. Walkers who enter the 50km will not be allowed to continue to compete in the 100 mile championship.

Please indicate on the entry form whether you wish to enter the 100 mile race which will give you automatic entry to the 50km OR whether you wish to enter the 50km race  >> entry form
 

The Course

The circuit is 2.5 miles (4,0225m). Both races starts at the track (Millennium Arena) and incorporates the 400m track and goes through the British Genius site (supporters area) and around the Carriage road.

Facilities (see map)

Changing, showers, lockers & toilets are available at the Clubhouse, Millennium Arena.  Public toilets are also on the course. The toilet on North Carriage Drive will be open during the night.

All support (apart from the Official Feeding station - which is on West Carriage Drive) ) will be situated in the British Genius site.

Driving and Parking

Vehicle entry and exit to Battersea Park is via Chelsea Gate. Competitors will be sent a vehicle pass (plus additional passes for attendants) in the confirmation pack. Vehicles are not permitted to drive around inside the Park. You can cycle around the  road (but not down through Central Drive)

There will be an Official Feeding Station (situated in the Boules car park on West carriage Drive) which will provide basic refreshments only, so walkers are advised to bring their own attendant if possible.

Physio and first aid will be located inside the Millennium Arena Clubhouse.

Marshals will be located around the course throughout the event and the Parks Police will also be in attendance.

Please note that the Park will also be open to members of the public during daylight hours and it can be busy with cyclists (old and young), dogs on lead and dogs not on leads, especially on Sunday morning when you will be really tired.
