| he British Masters Athletic Federation held their 20 (Women)/30 (Men)km in conjunction with the Midlands Championship at Northampton Race Course. Although flat the course was made more tiring by a breeze but was cool for August. Sarah Lightman made good progress early on but slowed in the second half still finishing
2nd in the Championship and 1st W35. The men’s 30km race was, unusually, also recorded at 20km for a separate event. Mick Harran in his longest race so far achieved a good time although the last 10km was difficult but good training for a similar distance in two week’s time.
