| The British Masters 30km Championship, incorporated into the Midlands event, had about 20 starting including one Surrey Walking Club member, Gary Macdonald. Conditions were very wet with several periods of heavy rain – no fun over a 3 or 4 hour race. Gary however was pleased to achieve a personal best by around 5 minutes in a time which would have won his age-group last year and gave him a silver medal this time. |
