Jack Fitzgerald Memorial 10.3 Km Road Race, Tilgate Park, Crawley 14th Jun 14
The second running of the VAC’s Jack Fitzgerald Memorial 10km on a picturesque course in Crawley’s Tilgate Park had almost 20 out with a few choosing the shorter 6km alternative. The main race of 10.325 metres was well supported by SWC who had the winner in Malcolm Martin – his first victory in such an event – and second place with David Crane who returned to racewalking with a time not too far from those before his break. Malcolm’s time equivalent to 10km in 54:20 represents a best over the distance.
