World Masters Indoor 3km Championship, Daegu, Korea 20th Mar 17
Roger Michell of Surrey Walking Club travelled to Korea for the world indoor masters in Daegu. He is one member of a very strong M65 British team with hopes for a team win in the associated road race. The Indoor race over 3km was not Rogerís distance whose forte is much longer. Although his time was around his expectation he was not able to get near the sprint specialists especially as the Mexican winner broke the world indoor age record. Ian Richards from Steyning at the wrong end of the age band had to give way but claimed silver.
