Nijmegen Walks  the famous 4 day (Vierdaagse) marches held every July in the Netherlands. Possibly the largest walking event ever, as around 40,000 take part in a choice of 30km,40km or 50km walks. Also, possibly the best organised mass participation event ever.  Not to be missed.
Paris-Colmar Race the ultimate in ultra distance race walking which takes place at the end of May/early June each year.

Athletics Weekly Magazine - features occasional race walking items in its' general athletics coverage as well as an extensive fixtures and results service.
Runner's World Magazine - UK's best known monthly running magazine covers useful information whether you run or walk:  reviews on trainers and  all those bits of training and racing kit we need, as well as a race diary (running) and sports injuries.
Serpentine Running Club - London's best known running club and award winning website which has lots of advice on training and nutrition much of which is also applicable to walking.
British Athletics Race Diary - has a section for walks although none are listed - so race organisers submit your races to this site!
