Surrey Walking Club

The next club race is on the 23rd May and the next club stroll is on Sunday the 5th of February to be led by Jill Goddart

Welcome to the Surrey Walking Club. The Club was originally formed in 1899 as a race walking club. We are still involved in race walking but we now promote a range of walking related activities including ultra distance walking and we have our own successful long distance social walking section known as the Strollers.

Sunday 5 February. Alton to Farnham (linear). Conductor Jill Goddart. Start Alton station 09:31 (London Waterloo 08:07). Return trains from Farnham 0 and 30 minutes past the hour and trains back to Alton at 14 and 55 minutes past the hour (journey time 12 or 17 minutes).

Route description: Return of a great walk from last April and a chance to see it at a slightly different time of year. The stroll includes a stop for lunch at the Chequers Inn, Well and tea at Church Crookham.

Explorers 144 and 145, approx 20 miles.
