Welcome to the Surrey Walking Club. The Club was originally formed in 1899 as a race walking club. We are still involved in race walking but we now promote a range of walking related activities including ultra distance walking and we have our own successful long distance social walking section known as the Strollers.

Next Club Stroll (Long Distance Walk)

 

Sunday 5 July. Hassocks to Brighton (Linear). Conductor David Hoben. Start at Hassocks station at 09:41 (London Victoria 08:32). Frequent return trains from Brighton.

Route description: In the morning we make our way via the Jack and Jill Windmills and the South Downs Way to Falmer for lunch. In the afternoon we take the Rottingdean Windmill Marathon route to Rottingdean, followed by the Undercliff Walk/Sustrans Route 2 to Brighton. Tea will be at Ovingdean.
