The next club race is the 3km championship on the 3rd Jun and the next club stroll is on Sunday the 8th February to be led by Janette Henderson

Welcome to the Surrey Walking Club. The Club was originally formed in 1899 as a race walking club. We are still involved in race walking but we now promote a range of walking related activities including ultra distance walking and we have our own successful long distance social walking section known as the Strollers.

Next Club Stroll (Long Distance Walk)

Sunday 8 February.  Epping circular. Conductor: Janette Henderson. Start Epping station 09:29 (08.51 from Bank station, Central Line). Frequent return trains.

Route: Given Janette’s interest in archaeology, this stroll will take in a number of features of historical interest along the way, including two Iron Age hill forts, a Second World War anti-tank defence, the site of the factory which made the iconic Enfield rifles and the remains of Waltham Abbey. And, of course, there will be quite a bit of walking too! Lunch will be at the Greyhound, Enfield Lock.
