Welcome to the Surrey Walking Club. The Club was originally formed in 1899 as a race walking club. We are still involved in race walking but we now promote a range of walking related activities including ultra distance walking and we have our own successful long distance social walking section known as the Strollers.

We keep on the High Weald Landscape Trail, via Five Hundred Acre wood, onto Ashdown Forest for a picnic lunch (10 miles).  After lunch we start heading back North, via the Vanguard Way and Pooh Bridge, to Hartfield for our refreshment stop (14 miles). Here we have the choice of The Anchor Inn or Piglet's Tearooms. It is then a pleasant stroll via the Forest Way Country Park and Sussex Border Path back to Ashurst Station. A very rural walk with some stunning views.
