Welcome to the Surrey Walking Club. The Club was originally formed in 1899 as a race walking club. We are still involved in race walking but we now promote a range of walking related activities including ultra distance walking and we have our own successful long distance social walking section known as the Strollers.

Next Club Stroll (Long Distance Walk)

SUNDAY 19th September. Winchester Circular. Conductor Jill Goddart. Start Winchester station at 09:45 (London Waterloo 08:35). Return trains 23 and 42 mins. past the hour. 

 


Route description - From the City we walk up onto the downs near Cheesefoot Hill and over the farmland near Cheriton to Hinton Ampner for lunch. We then follow part of the Wayfarers' Way and good paths over downs to take in St. Catherine's Hill before returning to Winchester.   
Explorer 132. Distance approx 21 miles.
